“I am thrilled to be a part of House on Straight Street! I am a native Houstonian and am combining the best of education, programs, institutions, organizations, and life experiences into a unique community. I have a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Houston, and a Master’s in Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. God freed me from the chains of addiction in May of 2018, and I have grown with Jesus Christ in my heart ever since. I can never repay God for the blessings he has bestowed upon me, so I am trying to help the Holy Spirit work similar miracles in the lives of others. Those struggling with addiction are my people, and Jesus is my priority. I look forward to walking with our residents as God permeates their lives and they begin to fulfill their purpose.”

“I have lived in many places, but Texas is home—family has been rooted the longest. I am the middle of three sisters, raised by loving Christian parents who gave me a strong foundation of faith. My husband and I have blended our families into a loving home as we raise our three children together.
By God’s grace, I am a sober, recovered alcoholic, grateful for the second chance He has given me. My life stands as a testimony to His mercy, redemption, and faithfulness.
It is an honor to serve as a board member of HOSS, a community deeply connected to my journey. I believe God redeems our struggles for purpose, allowing us to bring hope and encouragement to others walking a similar path. My prayer is that God’s will be done through HOSS as we extend hope, healing, and faith to many. Let’s make heaven crowded.”

“I am proud to be involved with House on Straight Street and be able to affect God’s Kingdom through bringing others down the happy road of sobriety. I am a native Houstonian and love the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous, having benefited from it use since being freed from my addiction in January of 2008. I have worked in the recovery industry at sober houses and guided men through the program. I am a devout Christian and love Jesus. The ability to contribute to HOSS and combine these passions in my life is a blessing. I hope to make a difference in my efforts and to be a positive influence on all who HOSS serves.”
